When we were planning our Wedding, we were looking for a violinist to play and luckily we came across Joel. We were mesmerised how he built the tune by looping and the quality of his playing was outstanding. We were so pleased when he agreed to play at the Wedding and we were not disappointed. He played during the Wedding breakfast and noticed quite a few of the guests just watching him play. He provided the perfect backdrop to the meal and we will be forever grateful.

From day 1 Joel was responsive and accomodating. We requested a song to be composed for my walk down the aisle, i already loved his music, but hearing the song for the first time as i started walking gave me goosebumps! Fabulous violinist May 2026

We just had Joel at our Wedding at Danby Castle Barn and he was amazing. He was easy to book with good communication beforehand and prompt on the day,
He played while guests were arriving and entering for the ceremony and then moved out into the grounds, while we all had drinks and photos. The feedback from the guests was all positive, his skills and music choice really added a beautiful ambiance to the day.

I have been a fan of Joel’s musical performances, compositions and arrangements for around 15 years. When it came to planning our Wedding, there was absolutely no question of who we needed to perform. I couldn’t wait to walk down the aisle to his beautiful original composition. Joel set the tone for the entire day, from the intimate lake-side ceremony set, to the upbeat pop covers at our sunny courtyard reception, he was phenomenal. Joel helped to plan the song selections to match the flow of the day and he was prompt, professional and respectful. Absolutely incredible!

We found Joel through a sponsored post he had shared and remember saying to each other “wow this is absolutely incredible, could you imagine if we had him play on our Wedding day”. Of course we made contact with Joel shortly after to enquire and we were so happy to have been able to book Joel to play on our special day.
The music shared on our Wedding day was an honour to listen to. A highlight for us was sitting at the table signing the marriage certificate and commenting on how beautiful Joel’s music was in that moment. Our entrance song was something Joel had learnt especially for that moment and hearing it brought so much emotion to the room. It was absolutely perfect Joel and we cannot thank you enough. I first saw Joel many years ago busking in Cambridge and have been a huge fan of his style of music/performance ever since. Recently, he performed at our Wedding, and we were absolutely blown away - as were our guests!

Amazing Violinist, Beautiful Music

From the moment we saw clips of Joel playing Violin, we knew we wanted him for our big day. Joel was so lovely and made the effort to come all the way from York to our Wedding in Bicester! The music really added to our special day and everything about it was so beautiful. Thank you Joel!!!

WOW, such a talent!!

I have to say Joel was the vendor I was most excited about when I booked him for my Wedding in May and he didn't disappoint. We have had multiple guests mention to us how amazing and talented he was, and how much they enjoyed listening to him play during the drinks reception. I don't think I will ever forget hearing the sound of him playing just before walking down the aisle, it is a special moment that will replay in my head for a very long time.
As others have said, the only regret I have is that I didn't have much time to listen to him myself on my Wedding day (due to being taken for photos etc), I wish I could have been a guest at my own Wedding. Joel is incredibly talented and played beautifully at our Wedding. His style and the looping element is so unique and had all our guests talking. Even weeks later guests are still talking about how good he was. Joel was also very helpful and responsive in the lead up to the day. He was also able to arrange a specific song I wanted to walk down the aisle to which wasn’t on his set list. Booking Joel was one of the best decisions we made! Cannot recommend enough!

Joel was our violinist at our Wedding! He was AMAZING. We would 100% recommend to other couples or families who are looking for a contemporary violinist for a Wedding / event. He has a really good setlist available of different covers. Lovely guy too and very different to other traditional violinists. Joel has a contemporary twist which we just loved!

We came across Joel on Hitched and immediately knew we wanted him on our big day, his work is incredible. We really loved having Joel play at our Wedding, the guests were in awe! We found Joel through a Wedding website and booked him a year in advance. He was very accommodating and listened to our varied requests including creating a new track based on the how to train your dragon theme for our silent vows. The sun was out and he created the perfect vibe while our guests were drinking gin and Folly Farm. Would definitely recommend!

Exactly what we wanted. Friendly, talented and interesting

We love Joel's distinctive looping style and having encountered his music while living in York we were delighted that he would travel to our Wedding in Dorset where we now live. Joel played for our Wedding ceremony and drinks reception. His music felt just right, providing an ambiance music that is interesting and moving while not feeling corny. At our request Joel also composed an arrangement to accompany the singing of one of our ceremony songs and liased with a friend who was organising the music in general. Joel was straight forward to communicate and organise with even when Covid meant we had to repeatedly change dates. Thank you Joel!

A Master At Work

Words genuinely can't describe what Joel's presence does at a Wedding. Every part of our day he featured in was elevated by his music.
We loved him, our guests loved him and even the registrar gave him a shout out. As the groom I'm just gutted I wasn't a guest so that I could sit there and watch his whole set. Joel played before, during and after our ceremony and even learned a request for my wife and I to walk back up the aisle to. He's also a gentleman. Brilliant and unique

Joel was brilliant. Many guests commented on how amazing he was, providing the perfect entertainment for a garden reception. I have never been to a Wedding with a looping violinist, making it feel even more special to us.

The Perfect Wedding Musician

We had originally booked Joel for our Wedding in May 2020 but unfortunately due to Covid-19 we had to delay our day twice. Although the process was complex trying to find new dates with all suppliers available, it was non-negotiable that we had to find a date with Joel still available. We are so pleased this was the case because our day would not have been the same without him; all ages appreciated his amazing talent and we had so many compliments. But WOW the best thing is having 'Fly' as our entrance song - we get goosebumps and tears every time we hear it. We couldn't fault a thing throughout the day, although the schedule went behind Joel was so flexible to work around it. 5* Service!

A highlight of our Wedding day

Joel played at our Wedding reception in September 2021. His music set the perfect atmosphere for our reception drinks and acted as a great conversation starter. He also played another short set for guests to enjoy whilst they tucked into their food outside. Throughout the day, many of our guests remarked on how talented Joel is and best of all, you could tell how much Joel enjoys what he does, which made it even more of a pleasure to watch him.

Someone thought we were filming a movie

Joel was incredible. I'd been listening to him on Spotify for a while before getting in contact. He was so nice from the first contact. His music was even more amazing on the Wedding day. We got married in a national trust venue. There were so many people listening to Joel they didn't realise it was a real Wedding. A few people asked my family after if we were filming a movie. Our guests, young and old, have not stopped talking about how magical the music was. They all got emotional. And Joel was also humble enough to share the limelight with my family who sang a few songs too. He's an incredible talent and a true professional. We can't thank him enough.

Such a unique style

My wife and I booked Joel for our Wedding ceremony and reception this weekend after hearing his incredible contemporary covers while he was playing in Bath last year. An incredibly talented musician who was very easy to deal with and who gave us a personalised, heartfelt gig which all our guests, (both young and older) commented on really positively (we may have created some new fans!). Joel plays violin covers (and original work) of really well-know songs suited to his unique looping and layering style. I recommend you check his work out on iTunes - highly recommended for all sorts of occasions.

We first saw Joel performing in Bath and we were amazed by his talent. We loved how he transformed classical and more modern pieces. We subsequently booked Joel to perform at our Wedding. Joel really is such an innovator and has a fresh sound. I came across Joel when he was playing in Winchester and then Cambridge. I contacted Joel very late in the day as I had arranged a Christmas Wedding at short notice. He was amazing and really helpful and flexible. As for his performance I can’t really find the words to explain how amazing and talented he is. His presence and music made my day and my guests were blown away and so complimentary. My only regret is that he had to stop playing and leave at some point ! A super chill, great guy that is just the most talented violinist and performer !!!! I need to plan another event of some kind just to have an excuse to book him again - Wedding re-do next year was my suggestion to the hubby
